Splish splash, go take a bath!

This exciting piece of news swam into my inbox the other day. Finally: an eco-friendly excuse to take an extra long bubble bath! Step out of your tub and into a Waterworks Greenway towel for the ultimate in green luxury.

Waterworks, the authority on luxury bath products, has just launched its first “ecologically intelligent” bath towel, made from hand-picked 100% Egyptian cotton and biodegradable materials. The towels are manufactured in an efficient and waste free facility, making them Cradle to Cradle certified. According to the company’s press release the towels boast a high absorbency due to the elimination of chemicals during the production process, providing a rich and luxurious experience every time. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that even the thread and label are biodegradable, developed specifically of organic cotton for a high tear resistance.

After you’ve dried off from your delicious bath with your eco-luxurious towel, stop by the newly opened Waterworks flagship store in New York on 215 East 58th Street. The two-story, 8,000-square-foot space, boasting the company’s iconic free-standing tubs, swan-like sinks and aquiline bathroom fixtures, will also have on display the new Greenway towel collection. According to CEO Peter Sallick:

“The opening of this new flagship showroom comes at a very exciting time for the company and allows us to showcase the brands’ core values. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to show our customers the brand’s vitality and new direction, while remaining true to our commitment to design, quality and craftsmanship.”

  1. The most popular choice of many households today are organic cotton towels. They are made from cotton, natural materials grown and free from chemicals and harmful pesticides.
